Tip 1: Verify Diameter Compatibility

TARMIN™ comes in Regular (7.5–8.2 mm) and Slim (5.2–5.6 mm) variants. Fitting the wrong size creates air gaps that allow unfiltered smoke to bypass the filtration layers. Most standard cigarettes use Regular; slim and superslim cigarettes require the Slim variant. When in doubt, bring a cigarette to the pharmacy where you buy TARMIN™ and compare the fit before purchasing a pack.

Tip 2: Clean Attachment Every 2–3 Cigarettes

Light condensation accumulates on the cigarette-filter contact point of TARMIN™ after 2–3 cigarettes. Wiping this with a dry cloth before continuing prevents moisture from degrading the activated carbon in the inner layer. This simple step can extend each TARMIN™ filter's effective life by 20–30%.

Tip 3: Don't Over-Tighten

TARMIN™'s precision fit means you should feel gentle resistance when attaching it – not force. Forcing the filter onto a cigarette can compress the inner carbon layer, reducing the micro-pore surface area available for adsorption. If the filter feels tight, try rotating it slightly as you push it on.

Tip 4: Smoke with Slower, Deliberate Draws

The triple-layer system in TARMIN™ performs best with moderate, deliberate draws. Rapid inhalation reduces the contact time between smoke and the activated carbon layer – cutting adsorption efficiency by up to 40%. Think of TARMIN™ like a water purification filter: slower flow means more thorough treatment.

Tip 5: Use the Visual Indicator to Time Replacement

TARMIN™'s semi-transparent outer housing lets you monitor the inner carbon layer's saturation state. When the carbon transitions from light grey to a medium brown, you're at approximately 50% capacity. At full dark brown, replace immediately. Troubleshooting Common Issues

"My cigarette tastes different with TARMIN™"

A mild flavour change is expected and normal – you're inhaling significantly fewer aromatic compounds. This sensation typically diminishes after 3–5 cigarettes as your palate adjusts to the cleaner smoke. If taste changes are severe, check that the filter is not over-tightened (see Tip 3).

"Draw feels harder"

Increased draw resistance usually means the filter has been over-tightened or the wrong size has been used. Alternatively, if the filter has been stored in a humid environment, moisture may have partially clogged the carbon layer. Replace with a new filter and ensure correct sizing.
